Ingredients
For the dough:
3 egg yolks
200 ml sour cream
200 g butter
A pinch of salt
350 g flour
For the filling:
3 egg whites
0.5 cup sugar
Vanilla to taste
Separate the yolks from the whites and mix with salt. Add the sour cream and melted butter. Mix again and knead with flour. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in cling film, and refrigerate for an hour or two.
After this time, preheat the oven and prepare the filling. The filling is the reserved egg whites, whipped with sugar until stiff. Well, this one isn't complicated either: beat the egg whites with a mixer until fluffy, gradually add the sugar, add the vanilla, and continue beating for another 5-7 minutes until thick.
Divide the dough into two parts for easier handling. Roll each part thinly and spread the egg white filling on top. Carefully roll into a thin roll, removing any excess filling with a spatula.
Slice the roll into "heels." Do this with a sharp knife in one quick motion. Unfold and adjust on the baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 200°C.
