Ingredients
For the dough:
2 eggs
250 g sugar
100 g butter
600 g flour
2 tsp honey
1 tsp baking soda
For the cream:
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
3 packets vanilla
2 tbsp flour
200 g butter
Whisk the eggs, sugar, and honey. Add the butter (or margarine). Place the mixture in a double boiler for 20 minutes, adding a teaspoon of baking soda. Stir constantly.
Then remove the mixture from the heat and add the flour. Knead the dough generously. Then place it under a blanket in a warm place for 1 hour. Once the dough has rested, divide it into 6-9 equal portions and roll out thin layers. Bake each layer in an oven preheated to 200°C (400°F). Use a rolling pin to prevent the layers from tearing when you place them on the baking sheet.
Cream: Make sure the butter is soft and room temperature; mix it with the sugar. Mix the milk and eggs, then add the flour and vanilla. Cook over low heat until the mixture thickens. When the mixture has cooled, add the butter and sugar, mixing thoroughly.
When the layers have cooled, spread the cream over them. Decorate as desired. Let the layers soak overnight.
