Ingredients
2 eggs
200 g sugar
1/2 cup honey
200 g butter
3 cups flour
For the icing:
1 egg white
100 g powdered sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
Food coloring
Mix the ingredients listed above into shortcrust pastry and refrigerate for half an hour.
Prepare the icing for our cookies: beat the egg whites with powdered sugar and lemon juice.
Remove the dough from the refrigerator, roll it out, and cut out shapes. If you don't have a snowflake cutter, you can make a snowflake stencil out of cardboard and cut out the cookies with a knife.
Bake the cookies, glaze the cooled snowflakes, and decorate them however your imagination and skill suggest.
Note: If you want the cookies to be darker, add about 2 teaspoons of cocoa. You can also add a pinch each of vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger. These spices will give the cookies a unique flavor and aroma.
