Waldorf Tuna Salad


Ingredients
3 apples
1/2 lemon
1 celery stalk
100 g walnuts
400 g canned tuna
3 tbsp mayonnaise
4 tbsp sour cream
Salt to taste
1 iceberg lettuce
Pepper to taste

Wash the apples, cut into quarters, core, and dice. Place in a bowl and drizzle with lemon juice. Cut the celery into rings and mix with the walnuts, then add to the apples.

Mash the tuna with a fork and add to the apples and celery. Mix sour cream with mayonnaise, add to the apples, celery, and nuts, season with salt and pepper, and toss. Spoon the mixture into cupped iceberg lettuce leaves.


The finished salad should be refrigerated for no more than 2 hours, otherwise the lettuce leaves will become soggy. Substituting cooked shrimp for the tuna will make the Waldorf salad more sophisticated.
